Half the Sky, founded by Jenny Bowen, a 2008 Skoll social entrepreneur, has just launched a new “children to children” website. Give Me Wings! (and I will Fly) was inspired by young philanthropists and volunteers who regularly contact Half the Sky, which establishes and runs nurturing care and education programs for orphaned children in China. The “Give Me Wings!” site is a place for kids to share their stories. Visitors under 15 can send ideas, videos, and photos to the site. “Give Me Wings!” requires parental permission to participate. They’re looking for feedback, so please give it a look.
